Advocacy for an appropriate HIV/AIDS prevention and control bill has been one of UGANET’s main activities in the year 2009. UGANET carried out consultations with marginalized sections of the public on the proposed law on HIV and AIDS prevention and control. These consultations funded by Open Society Institute were carried out in Bugiri, Amuru, Gulu, Kaberamaido, Amuria and Ntungamo Districts. The propositions on the Bill, gathered from these consultations were presented to parliament for the improvement of the proposed law.
