Networking and partnership building

UGANET builds strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and organisations that are critical to the creation of supportive Human Rights, Legal and policy framework which is responsive to the challenges created by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. This is done through attending meetings and facilitating at workshops organised by partner organisations, through which information is shared with members and partners. Some of the partner organisations include but are not limited to the following;

UGANET has also partnered with other organisations such as Mildmay Center, Health Rights Action Group (HAG), Positive Women Leaders (POWL), International Community of Women Living with HIV/AIDS (ICW), The Global Coalition on Women and AIDS, Children Hope Initiative, Support on AIDS and Life Through Telephone Helpline (SALT), Uganda Young Positives (UYP), HEPS Uganda, National Coalition of Women With AIDS in Uganda (NACOA), Rubaga Exchange on AIDS and Livehood Support Group (REAL), Uganda Network of  Young People Living with HIV/AIDS (UNYPA), National Guidance and Empowerment Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (NGEN+) Uganda and National Community of Women Living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda (NACWOLA) on the joint civil society statement on the draft HIV/AIDS prevention and control Bill 2009. 

At sub-county and district level UGANET works with District Chairpersons, Councilors, Chief Administrative Officers, Administrator Generals Office, Community Development Officers, Probation and Welfare Officers in mobilizing and advocacy on HIV/AIDS and human rights issues.
