- World AIDS Day
- 2008. UGANET commemorated the 2008 World AIDS Day at Kamwokya market in Kampala district. The theme of the years’ event was about testing for everybody and as a way of contributing to this call; UGANET mobilized the participants for VCT services, which were provided by TASO Uganda. The guest of Honor at the event was his Worship the Mayor of Kampala City Council.
- 2009. UGANET commemorated World AIDS day on the 2nd of December other than the usual 1st December. The theme of the event was “Universal Access and Human Rights” UGANET’s event was held at the parliamentary grounds and this was intended to target the legislators. Over 50 Members of Parliament were reached with the message and UGANET took this chance to launch some of its publications such as the Joint Civil Society position on the proposed HIV Bill, a simplified booklet on human rights and a poster on human rights, HIV/AIDS and the law. The Chief Guest at the event was Mrs. Noerine Kaleba, the founder of TASO Uganda.
