Welcome Message from the Chairperson

The Uganda Network on Law, Ethics and HIV/AIDS(UGANET),was formed in 1995 to contribute to the development and strengthening of an appropriate human rights legal policy and ethical response to HIV/AIDS.
Over the years, UGANET has continued to grow in membership and has undertaken various activities that are geared towards the achievement of its objectives


Since its establishment to date, UGANET has been at the forefont in advocating for law reform, better enforcement of existing laws, and in building the capacity of Key stakeholders and the communities, in order to create an appropriate human rights, legal and policy framework and to support the on-going National efforts to confront the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Uganda.

In 2005, UGANET developed the Orphan Support Fund, to contributed to the needy Orphans, part of the aid is in scholastic materials. Every year, UGANET holds a fundraising Dinner to raise funds for its Orphans to provide Orphans who are either living with or those who have been affected by HIV/AIDS so far in 5 Districts, namely Masindi, Lira, Ntungamo, Pallisa and Kampala with Educational Materials.
